Running Update 8


It’s been so long since I’ve written about running because it’s been so long since I’ve gone for a run! Until today. I’m finally back at it and I’m more motivated than ever to get my body stronger and able to run longer. Interestingly enough, what motivates me the most to work out are my depressing morning emotions. The stronger the negative feelings, the stronger my urge to run it off.

So I ran today, 3 miles in 40 minutes. My plan is to increase these numbers to 3.5 miles in 50 minutes, and I want to accomplish this within the next 60 days or less. I know I can do it too! I’m thinking of picking out a prize for myself when I accomplish this goal. Specifically… there’s this shirt that I want pretty bad and this would be the perfect excuse to get myself to buy it! Also, I want to start adding body weight strength training into my schedule 3 times per week. The problem is that I don’t really know where to start. Not to mention, I usually get overwhelmed quickly when it comes to body weight training and I give up. I’ve got to find a solution so that I don’t get up.
